Central Power recently completed a major new installation for a large UK Dairy at their Telford facility as part of a £50m site expansion. As well as the increased site load, the network was redesigned to offer a greater level of resilience and redundancy.
Central Power’s site team installed 2 new Schneider electric intake switchboards and several new distribution substations comprising of Schneider Electric RN2Ds and Wilson Powers E2 super low-loss transformers.

IAC supplies components and interior trim for Land Rover and Range Rover models in the U.K.
The Project at Prologis Park Birmingham Interchange (PPBI) consists of two buildings located at PPBI total 310,000 sq. ft.
At Central Power, we were proud to have worked with IAC to provide an 11kv ring main comprising of 5 sub stations and associated transformers.

Utilising our internal civil team we constructed transformer plinths, switchgear bases and fencing, plus on site trenching to link up with a new 11kv connection being supplied by ‘Power on Connection’ #CentralPower #Highvoltageengineers #Transformers

It's critical to stay on top of planned maintenance and in this case the decision to inspect this cast resin transformer was just in time. We hold maintenance and responce contracts with the region’s biggest employer Jaguar Land Rover to ensure the smooth running of their operations but we are also their go to company for assistance with new power requirements and installations.
 

After receiving an early morning call to a report of a loss of power following a fire alert in a substation, we arrived to find an old air cooled transformer had flashed over. Replacements aren’t easy to find but we worked with some of our partner companies to get a step-up transformer and appropriate generation to ensure production was not affected.
 

All eyes will be on Birmingham in 2022 when our home city hosts the Commonwealth Games and we were thrilled to be asked to install two new substations as part of improvements at Alexander Stadium which will be at the centre of many of the track and field events.

We have recently completed a project at the Alexander Stadium in Perry Barr, relocating the existing 11kV Switchgear to enable the next phase of development for the Birmingham 2022 games. The civil work included construction of 2 concrete bases for GRP housing and installation of ducting for the cable installation.
